Hello everybody!
Nowadays I don't spend that much time on dA anymore since I picked up a new hobby. Something that I wanted to do since I was a child.... flying remote controled model airplanes! But the good thing is that since the airfield is in the country I already managed to shoot a Kestrel
and there are a lot of beautiful scale models waiting to be pictured. So I can have the cake and the icing too, as the saying goes.
But now back to the
FEATURES
Shameless Self Promotion
This is about Thank You notes for faves.
For the most part, we won't be doing them anymore. It's gotten to the point where we have to do so many that it has to be purely mechanical, otherwise we'd never get through them. Of course, we're still thankful for each and every view and fave, and especially every comment, but we will no longer express that in a note. We will show our appreciation by visiting you, checking out your gallery, maybe faving some things, and perhaps leaving comments. Sharing our work and being real, is what dA is about, right? Why spend a lot of time on mechanical niceties, when we can spend it on the business of Art?

Artists need to be able to create their art without feeling guilty,and to have the time to view other wonderful art AND maybe occasionally make a sane comment.No one needs to agree with or follow any of the things laid out here.
1- Please consider that I DO NOT NEED to be thanked for everything! Especially when I fave and run! If you are behind, sick, etc, I'd rather you spend your time and energy - getting well, restoring whatever order you need in your world, furthering YOUR art, and THEN faving or commenting on a work of mine! I KNOW you are all nice, polite people, and that you appreciate all the comments/favs/DA love you get!
2- I will not say, "You're welcome", or "My pleasure", if you do thank me. I'm not rude and was not born in a barn, nor raised in a pig yard, but it's just too much work for my arthritis + fibromyalgia + mush for brains, with all the responses I get. Just PLEASE know, that it IS my distinct pleasure in commenting on your work and faving it, and it is genuine! You are the ones that color my world and feed my soul!!!
3-If you have a specific question or comment that you would like me to respond to? PLEASE NOTE ME! I have too many messages/questions that get lost in my messages list, because so many come in and the questions get buried and I can never find them again- or when I do find them- too much time has passed for time sensitive issues! I really do enjoy helping folks but sometimes I'm a bit slow! But I do read EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!!
4-If you add me to your watch-I will watch you back!! No one needs to agree with me! I LOVE thanking people and commenting! This is about REDUCED THANKING! NOT no thanking!!!! I will STILL say thanks when there is an especially great comment. And I often will scatter emotes, hugs, and love, when on a dead run! This is NOT about stopping comments. I will still make comments when time allows.
This is about having MORE time to view YOUR work and comment. This is actually about HAVING TIME TO CREATE ART- isn't that why we are here?
